McHenry County College (MCC) offers Intro to Statistical Process Control (SPC) on July 19 and Blueprint Reading on Aug. 16.
This training is part of MCC's Workforce, Community and Business Programs’ cost-effective industry fundamental employee training for businesses of all sizes in the manufacturing and warehousing industry.
The following training programs are accepting registration:
Intro to Statistical Process Control: Emphasizes the use of SPC, structure and collection of data, understanding control charts, analyzing chart trends, and evaluating capabilities. Participants will gain a foundation of the basics SPC concepts that can be built upon for focused training. The class is intended for individuals who require basic SPC knowledge for the shop floor. This class takes place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 19. Cost is $259. Refer to course code: NTE S57 001 when registering.
Blueprint Reading: Covers print layout, holes, threads, machining details, and assembly prints. The lecture will be supplemented with individual class exercises to provide actual practice for participants. Participants will learn how to interpret in-house drawing and are encouraged to bring prints from their organization to review. This course is intended for inspectors, maintenance and shop floor personnel in need of skill enhancement on this topic. Basic shop math skills are recommended for success. Class takes place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16. Cost is $259. Refer to course code: NTE S61 001 when registering.
